Babar Azam is close to setting the record for the fastest 2000 runs in T20 International cricket
Harare: (Web Desk) National cricket team captain Babar Azam needs 60 more runs to complete his 2,000 runs in T20 International cricket. If Babar Azam performs this feat in the series against Zimbabwe, he will become the first batsman in the world to score the fastest 2,000 T20 international runs.
Babar Azam has so far scored 1,940 runs in 49 T20 matches at an average of 48.50. India’s Virat Kohli crossed the 2,000-run mark in the most limited format in 56 T20 innings. Babar Azam will be the 11th batsman in the world to score 2,000 runs in T20 International cricket.
The three-match T20 series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe starts tomorrow. It may be recalled that thanks to Babar Azam’s excellent batting form, Pakistan had won the series 3-1 against South Africa.
