Corona: Global freight charges increased by 700%
Malik Moin, former chairman of the Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association (PIFFA), told the Express Tribune that freight charges have increased by 500 to 700 per cent in the last two months. For example, the fare for a 20-foot container from China to Pakistan has risen from تا 2,000 to 3 3,000, up from about 700 700 in June 2020 and earlier.
