Riyadh: Fraudsters in Saudi Arabia have now started collecting personal information from citizens by becoming fake employees of the bank. The concerned agencies have instructed the people to be careful.
According to Arab media reports, fraudsters try to gain access to personal account information by posing as bank staff. In this regard, the staff of the local news channel received several such calls, the numbers were local but could not talk about making calls again.
According to the report, fraudsters make calls and ask customers to update their bank accounts and ATMs, thus obtaining personal information, which can be a big financial blow to consumers.

Bank officials have warned against listening to such calls and refraining from giving out personal information to anyone as banks do not receive such information via SMS or phone call.
Muhammad Khurram Khan, a professor of cybersecurity at King Saud University in Riyadh, says that in the past, fraudsters used to use e-mail to commit such scams, but now they have started doing so through calls.
