According to a statement issued by the University of Cambridge, Dr. Kamal Munir of Pakistani origin has been appointed as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University. Dr. Kamal Munir has been appointed Pro Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University for 3 years.
Dr. Kamal Munir will take over as Pro Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University from October 1. The University of Cambridge has 5 Pro Vice Chancellors whose job is to assist the Vice Chancellor in the administrative affairs of the University.
Dr. Kamal Munir has a keen eye on the Islamic financial system. He has been associated with Cambridge University for the past 20 years and has published columns in various newspapers and magazines such as the Financial Times, The Guardian, The Tribune, Dawn and World Business.
He also taught at the Canadian University of McGill from 1996 to 2000
