Facebook Messenger offers screenshot reporting option
SAN FRANCISCO: Facebook (Meta), the largest social media platform, has launched a new SnapChat-style feature to protect Messenger users.
According to the blog released by Meta, the company has started working on the screenshot detection feature in view of the complaints of the users using Messenger.
Under this feature, when a screenshot of a user’s chat is taken, they will receive a message in the form of a notification.
This feature will also be helpful for the users as they will be able to talk to anyone without any worries.
According to Facebook, this screenshot feature will be available for all types of chats, including end-to-end.
Meta believes that users should protect themselves in the future by using secure chat systems so that anyone who takes a screenshot of a message is notified.
