Meeting with the Prime Minister, Chairman Cricket Board apologized for continuing the work
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani and former captain Rameez Raja had separate meetings with PM Imran Khan. Expressing satisfaction over the performance of the cricket board, the Prime Minister urged Ehsan Mani to continue his work but Ehsan Mani apologized for not working for another three years.
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani’s three-year term is coming to an end. He further apologized for holding the post.
Ehsan Mani called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today, in which Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The Prime Minister urged PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani to continue in the post for another three years but Mani apologized for not continuing.
The Prime Minister inquired as to when the hosting of the ICC event would be completed. On which Ehsan Mani said that 3 to 4 months are required.
Ehsan Mani also presented a complete report on domestic cricket to the Prime Minister.
On the other hand, former national team captain and well-known commentator Rameez Raja also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and offered his suggestions on cricket.
Rameez Raja is being considered as a strong candidate for the post of chairman Pakistan Cricket Board. However, Prime Minister Imran Khan will propose two names to the governing board for the new chairman PCB.
Ehsan Mani took over as Chairman PCB on September 4, 2018. As soon as he became Chairman, he elected Leicestershire County CEO Wasim Khan as the Chief Executive of Pakistan Cricket Board.
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani had completely changed the structure of domestic cricket after taking charge, for the first time in 70 years Ehsan Mani abolished departmental cricket.
