Raj Wali Khattak, a British citizen of Pakistani origin from Saleh Khana area of ​​Nowshera, was nominated for the British Empire Medal by the Queen of Britain for community service.

The British Empire Medal is a British and Commonwealth Award given annually by the Queen of Great Britain in recognition of her civil or military service.

Pakistani-born Raj Wali Khattak has lived in the UK for decades. “My nomination for the award is a source of pride for Pakistan,” he said.

Raj Wali Khattak has been living in the British city of Elsbury since 1975 where he has been active in serving the local community.

Raj Wali also served as mayor of Ellsbury from 2001 to 2005. At his special invitation, the Queen has also visited his community.
